The inaugural meeting of the Computer Branch took place in June.

May 2000:   Mailing List

The Society launched its own Internet Mailing List, hosted on Rootsweb and run by Society member Denise Rason. For more information, please see the Mailing List information page.

Oct 1999:   New Census Publication

The Society announced the publication of the 1851 Census Index of Greenwich parish, the last in the series. The booklet comprises some 214 pages and contains almost 35,000 names, together with a list of streets and a specially written introduction by Susan Pittman giving a comprehensive history of the area in the 19th century.

Sep 1999:   'Time & Tide' conference

Celebrating the 21st birthday of the Society, the successful 'Time & Tide' conference was held at the Avery Hill Campus of the University of Greenwich over the weekend of 3-5 September 1999.
